Tencent WeChat updated both the Android and iOS versions today, but Tencent has kept the update details a mystery, only casually mentioning that "some known issues have been fixed".
After testing the experience, it was discovered that there were actually quite a few updates this time, with some new changes being very useful.
Firstly, WeChat and QQ Music have launched a limited-time activity where users can share their favorite musicians to their Moments. Additionally, WeChat users can also listen to VIP songs for free, including the popular Jay Chou's entire album, until June 30th.
Not only that, videos published by subscribed public accounts will also be displayed in this interface, turning watching videos into listening to videos.
For the Watch version of WeChat, after this update, users can now send pictures and choose images from their albums to send.
When WeChat friends make voice calls, the new version of WeChat will also display the caller's avatar.
Other subtle changes include mini programs being able to display the currently playing music, and the testing range for the Moments pinning feature being expanded.
Overall, although the official details of this WeChat update are not mentioned, they are all very practical. It is especially convenient for users who enjoy listening to music, as it is like having free access to QQ Music VIP features for a few months. It is strongly recommended to upgrade.
